About Trees

As our global communities grow, we must respect and protect the environment. Trees are a vital part of everyday living, in terms of helping us breath, providing shade and protection. We must grow in concert with the environment.

-Trees can contribute to the environmental values of a community by modifying local climates, reducing noise, air pollution, heating & cooling costs and by protecting water and soil qualities in urban and suburban settings.

-Trees can also add social and historic values to a community, as well as monetary value to a property. Neighborhoods can generate community interests in tree planting programs by collaborating with local municipalities.

-TM hopes that it can pique your interest on the positive effects that trees have on the environment and communities. By encouraging urban planners & civic leaders to promote green/tree initiatives, we can achieve sustainable communities. TM hopes that your community will enact green building practices (Ex: Green Roof Tops & Green Belts) which will provide amenities to urban settings by producing more parks and open space for trees to thrive in.

-By becoming good environmental stewards, we can provide families, children and the public at large a healthier environment for future generations to enjoy.

-No community can have enough trees for the public.

"One acre of forest absorbs six tons of carbon dioxide and puts out four tons of oxygen. This is enough to meet the annual needs of 18 people." - U.S. Department of Agriculture
